Prof. Dr. René Riedl

Dr. René Riedl, born 1977, is a professor of Digital Business and Innovation at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria . Moreover, he has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Business Informatics – Information Engineering at the University of Linz since 2001. Also, he serves on the executive board of the Institute of Human Resources and Organizational Development in Management (IPO) at the University of Linz. In spring 2007, he was a guest researcher at Harvard University, USA, and in winter semester 2009/2010 he was a guest professor at Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, Germany, where he was appointed as the 2010 SchindlerParent Distinguished Guest Lecturer. In spring 2012, he was a guest professor at HEC Montréal, Canada, and he was appointed at this university as an associate researcher at the Tech3Lab . From 2000-2001, before his academic engagement, he worked as a project manager for an Austrian IT firm. Dr. Riedl is a member of several scientific associations and societies.

Dr. Riedl has published his research in a number of scientific journals, such as Behavior Research Methods, BMC Neurology, Business & Information Systems Engineering, ACM SIGMIS DATABASE, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Neuroscience, Psychology, and Economics, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, and Proceedings of the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). He also serves in different editorial roles for several scientific journals and as a reviewer for various journals and the National Science Foundation (USA) and the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG).
